Handling & storage
Sodium Hydroxide Flakes are highly corrosive; store in dry, sealed HDPE or mild-steel containers away from moisture, acids, and aluminium surfaces. Dissolution in water is strongly exothermic — always add flakes to water slowly and never the reverse. Use PPE including alkali-resistant gloves, face shield, and chemical-splash goggles during handling. Consult the SDS before use.
