Handling & storage
Caustic Soda Lye is a strongly corrosive alkali; store in HDPE or carbon steel tanks (stainless steel 316L is preferred for concentrated grades) away from acids, aluminium, and incompatible metals, with adequate ventilation and secondary containment. Operators must wear alkali-resistant gloves, face shield, and protective clothing during handling and transfer. Consult the SDS before handling.
