Handling & storage
Caustic Lye Liquid is a strongly corrosive alkali; store in dedicated alkali-resistant tanks (HDPE or FRP) away from acids, oxidising agents, and reactive metals such as aluminium and zinc, with secondary containment in place. Personnel must wear a full face shield, chemical-resistant gloves, and impermeable protective clothing during transfer and dosing operations. Consult the SDS before handling.
