Handling & storage
Store in a cool, well-ventilated area away from organic materials, combustibles, and reducing agents. Use containers fabricated from glass, stainless steel (SS 304/316), or fluoropolymer (PTFE/PVDF)-lined vessels; avoid HDPE and other common plastics, which are not compatible with nitric acid. Nitric acid is a strong oxidiser and corrosive — personal protective equipment including acid-resistant gloves, face shield, and chemical-resistant clothing must be worn during handling. Consult the SDS before handling or storage.
