Handling & storage
Liquid Nitric Acid at 70% is a strongly corrosive, oxidising acid that reacts violently with organic materials, bases, and many metals; store in a cool, well-ventilated area away from combustibles in glass, PTFE-lined, or aluminium containers — HDPE is not suitable for concentrated nitric acid at this strength. Handle only with acid-resistant PPE including face shield, chemical-resistant gloves, and apron. Consult the SDS before handling.
