Handling & storage
Sodium carbonate is a mild alkaline irritant (GHS07); avoid inhalation of dust and prolonged contact with eyes and skin — use a suitable dust mask (minimum P2/FFP2 respirator where dust generation is significant), safety goggles, and chemical-resistant gloves during handling. Store in a cool, dry, well-ventilated area in tightly sealed bags away from acids and moisture, which cause caking and loss of quality. Consult the SDS before first use.
