Handling & storage
GACL 50% Hydrogen Peroxide is a strong oxidiser (UN 2014, Class 5.1) and a corrosive liquid (Class 8). It presents a serious fire and explosion hazard on contact with combustible materials, organic substances, and certain metals; keep away from all sources of ignition and flammable materials. Store in a cool, well-ventilated area away from heat sources. Use dedicated HDPE or 316L stainless steel containers; do not use containers made of copper, brass, iron, or other materials that catalyse decomposition. Avoid contamination of any kind, as even trace impurities — including heavy metal salts, reducing agents, and strong acids or alkalis — can cause rapid, exothermic decomposition with oxygen evolution. Personnel must wear appropriate PPE including face shield, chemical-resistant gloves, and protective clothing. Consult the SDS before handling, storage, or transport.
Questions
About GACL 50 Hydrogen Peroxide
What is the shelf life of GACL 50% Hydrogen Peroxide and how should it be stored?
