Handling & storage
50% Hydrogen Peroxide is a strong oxidiser (UN 2014, Packing Group II) and corrosive liquid classified as a Class 5.1 oxidising substance. Store in a cool (below 30°C), well-ventilated area away from combustible materials, organic compounds, reducing agents, metals, and strong acids or alkalis. Use only dedicated HDPE or 316-grade stainless-steel containers; do not use aluminium, copper, iron, or carbon-steel fittings. Prevent contamination, which can trigger rapid decomposition with oxygen release and heat build-up. Personnel must wear face shield, chemical-resistant gloves, and apron. Consult the SDS before handling and storing.
