Handling & storage
Technical Grade Phosphoric Acid at 85% concentration is a corrosive liquid; handle with acid-resistant gloves, face shield, and appropriate chemical-resistant PPE to prevent skin and eye contact. When diluting, always add acid to water slowly to control the heat of mixing — never add water to the concentrated acid. Store in ventilated, cool, dry areas away from alkalis and reactive metals such as zinc, magnesium, and aluminium, with which it reacts to release hydrogen gas. Consult the SDS before handling.
